Office of Public Inquiries Requests That Household Stop Asking Same Question
Officials acknowledge a substantial volume of correspondence concerning the championship and clarify the distinction between new inquiries and repeated objections.
GENEVA — The International UNO Hall of Champions has issued updated correspondence guidelines following an unusually high volume of inquiries from a small group of recreational competitors.
According to the Office of Public Inquiries, much of the correspondence concerns the same fundamental question: whether defeating Stephen Boudreau in an ordinary game of UNO entitles the winner to recognition as World Champion.
The Office confirmed that this question has been answered on numerous occasions.
“We have explained the distinction between recreational and sanctioned competition,” said a spokesperson. “We have provided links to the relevant regulations. We have issued written determinations.”
The spokesperson acknowledged that several correspondents had supplied additional evidence of their victories, including photographs, match reports, and statements from other participants.
The Office thanked them for their thoroughness.
It also reiterated that the Committee has never disputed the results in question.
“We understand that Mr. Boudreau lost. At this point, we believe everyone understands that Mr. Boudreau lost.”
The Office has asked that future correspondence address matters not already covered by its published guidance.
In particular, officials clarified that resubmitting an existing question in capital letters does not constitute a new inquiry.
The Office also requested that correspondents refrain from including the phrase “BUT WE LITERALLY JUST BEAT HIM” in subject lines.
The Hall remains committed to transparency and public engagement.
