Committee Reaffirms Confidence in Sanctioning Procedures

Following renewed questions from a small group of recreational competitors, the Hall has issued a statement expressing its complete confidence in existing standards.

GENEVA — The International UNO Hall of Champions today reaffirmed its complete confidence in the procedures used to designate official World Championship matches.

The statement follows questions raised by a small group of recreational competitors who have expressed concern that certain matches were classified as preseason events only after their conclusion.

“The competitive calendar is a complex instrument,” said Sir Reginald P. Worthington III, Chairman of the Championship Sanctioning Committee. “Those who find it confusing are encouraged to refrain from interpreting it.”

The Committee confirmed that its championship designation practices remain consistent with Article VII, Section 4 of the International Competition Charter. No changes are anticipated.

Stephen Boudreau remains the reigning World UNO Champion. The Committee considers this matter closed.
